- Choose a category that you'd like to discuss with the students. (i.e. ask them about the favourite birthday present, what they enjoyed most about their weekend, what they enjoyed about a recent field trip/guest speaker)
- Ask one student to verbally relate his or her response to your question. Then ask the student to demonstrate through movement. (can depict by acting out the shape, its movement/function etc.)
- Ask the other students to imitate the movement
- Repeat, giving each student a turn to initiate the discussion and movement
- Have the students act out fairy tales/ nursery rhymes/ short stories to increase their comprehension and recall the order of events.
- Ask the students to tell you about their favourite parts or favourite characters, and then depict their responses in movement
