Materials
- Small, study object for passing
- Have students stand in a row, one behind the other in groups of five or six.
- Have the students pass a rubber chicken, beanbag, ball down to the back of the line alternating between over the head and between the legs.
- When the object gets to the end of the line, the last student runs to the front of the line and starts passing it again
- Once students are comfortable passing the object, add alphabet challenges. Have students say a letter of the alphabet as they pass the object (continue saying letters of the alphabet in order.)
- Have students say a word that starts with each letter of the alphabet (i.e. first person says apple, second person says banana etc.)
- Have the students say a 2 letter word and when the person runs to the front of the line, the group must say a 3 letter word, then a 4 letter word. Continue to the appropriate level of skill.
