Materials

- Have the students sit or stand, facing the same direction
- Indicate the left and right side of the room - Use objects or places in the room to help landmark for the students, if needed
- Challenge the students to perform the following activities, moving from left to right
- Turning the head
- Drawing a line on the floor with a foot
- Moving both arms at various levels in space (shoulder height, above the head, etc.)
- Stepping (take several steps in sequence)
- Jumping, hopping or sliding
- Have the students perform group activities that involve left to right movements.
- Students can form a circle holding hands and move left to right
- Students can perform the wave moving left to right
- Students can form a circle holding hands and move left to right
